DESCRIPTION:
Boston, unknown , 8 day, mahogany banjo or patent timepiece, c1830.
CONDITION:
Refinished mahogany with restoration. Blocks on the throat and bottom door look to have been added later. Both glasses are replacements. Original painted dial is badly worn with poor touchup to the numbers. Hands are period. Bottom board is a replacement. Finial is a replacement. Movement is fastened to the case with a single screw through the back plate Ht 29.5"
